Upper School Students Earn Top Honors French Club Convention

Seven of our Dunham francophiles participated in the annual French Club Convention, sponsored by the Association Louisianaise des Club Francais des Ecole Secondaires (ALCFES), February 15-16 in New Orleans, LA.  Upper School French students, who competed in a variety of contests and activities, included Emma Davis '19, Allyson Mohanty-Aldana '20, Reagan Courville '21, Keeley Slaton '21, Gabriel Bostick '22, Libby Boudreaux '22 and Sydney Boudreaux '22.

Convention Highlights


After a written test and interview in French before a panel of French and Belgian dignitaries, senior Emma Davis won a full scholarship to study in Belgium this summer.



Gabriel Bostick '22 was elected Regional President to serve the Baton Rouge area. He also competed in the French spelling bee, reaching the final round.



Reagan Courville '21 and Sydney Boudreaux '22 shared 1st place in the Creative Writing competition.


All of the students who participated in the convention proved to be great ambassadors, representing the French program and Dunham well. Toutes nos félicitations (congratulations) on an excellent showing.
