at Dunham!

We have a number of clubs and organizations that complement our academic program and allow students to connect with each other and develop their leadership skills. While many of our clubs and organizations are available for anyone to join, others may involve selection based on specific criteria.

The Dunham School Chapter of the National Beta Club was named a 2013-14 National Beta School of Distinction. This national award speaks highly of Dunham's commitment to academic rigor and illustrates the dedication of the school to prepare students for college and career readiness. The Beta Club is committed to recognizing and improving student leadership skills and encouraging service to others.

Our seventh and eighth grade students have the opportunity to participate in Youth Legislature, a two-day mock Legislative session sponsored by Boys and Girls Clubs of Baton Rouge. Sessions are held at the Old State Capitol allowing students to experience government in the place where it happened.  At Youth Legislature, students experience the legislative process by presenting, debating, and voting on bills they authored.
