Training the Hearts of

Dunham Athletics

At Dunham, we believe that educating the heart of a champion is as important as building physical strength. Guided by a staff of highly qualified coaches, students hone athletic skill through healthy competition while also learning the value of hard work, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship as they strive for victory on and off of the playing field.

Because we understand training the body fuels the mind, we consider athletics an integral part of a complete education. We're committed to providing opportunities for as many students as possible to take part in quality sports activities, with the understanding that it is a privilege and a responsibility to compete as a team member for the school. While we reject the idea of winning at all costs, our athletics program provides the training and conditioning necessary to allow our athletes to compete at the highest levels.

At present, we field teams across 13 different sports. In Middle School, we adhere to a no-cut policy to allow students to develop skill and confidence as they explore a variety of sports. By high school, our varsity Tigers are fierce competitors at the district and state level, with a number of them bringing home state titles each year and signing to play at the collegiate level after graduation.

Important message for Dunham student athletes:

If you plan to participate in Upper School team sports next year, please make sure you and your parents have read, signed, and submitted both the US LHSAA Forms (first-time participates only) and the Dunham Athletics Medical Packet (must be submitted every year) found below under "Related Links."

Middle School students who plan to participate in team sports are only required to turn in the completed Athletics Medical Packet.
