Football State champions!

The Dunham Tigers claimed the LHSAA Division III Select State Championship on Thursday, December 12, 2025, with a 34-17 victory over Calvary Baptist at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, securing the program’s first state title since 2004 and only the second in school history.

Dunham was the only team from Baton Rouge to reach a state title game this season. In recognition of the Tigers’ victory, East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sid Edwards issued a proclamation earlier today declaring Monday, December 15, as “The Dunham School Day.”

Quarterback Elijah Haven '27 led the team with a dominant performance, generating 410 yards of total offense to earn Outstanding Player honors. During the game, Elijah broke Louisiana’s all-time single-season passing touchdowns record with his 62nd touchdown pass. His five total touchdowns increased his career total to 180, surpassing the previous state record of 177. He is currently ranked as the No. 1 high school recruit in the class of 2027 and has also been named Louisiana’s Gatorade Player of the Year.

The school will hold a campus-wide Champions Celebration on Monday, December 15, at 9:30 a.m., in the competition gym to honor the football team.

Congratulations to Coach Weiner, the coaching staff, and the Tigers football team!
