The Dunham Quiz Bowl had a fantastic day at the Dutchtown Quiz Bowl Tournament on Saturday, February 17, 2018.  Junior Parker Harris was an overall standout contestant with 515 individual points.

Tiger Quiz Bowl team members include Hayden Dudley ’19, Parker Harris ’19, Emi Hayes ’18, Frank Kearns ’21, Harshi Rachamallu ’18, Jason Spell ’18 and Savannah Tanguis ’18.

The DunhamTeam averaged a 100 point lead  in preliminary rounds and won two single-elimination playoff matches. In the third playoff round, the Tigers lost to Episcopal School of Acadiana by one question in a nail-biter of a match.

Quiz Bowl advisor Laura Smith credits Dunham faculty for the team’s success. “These students were able to answer difficult questions about a wide variety of topics from science and math to history, foreign language and literature which shows what wonderful preparation our students receive across our departments,” she said.
