Stellar performances on the track, in the field, on the tennis court and the golf course through the spring season landed our best Tiger athletes on 2022 All-Metro team squads announced this summer:
Tiger tennis player Michael Dudley '22 was named the Outstanding Player on the 2022 All-Metro Tennis Team. Dudley, who capped off an undefeated senior campaign with his second consecutive Division IV singles title, will be playing tennis for the University of Redlands this year. Joining Dudley on the the All-Metro tennis squad are the Tigers boys doubles team of Evan Gleason '22 and Wait Harrod '25, and Tiger girls singles player Stella Boone '24.
Tiger infielder Joshua Lim '25 was selected to the 2022 All-Metro Baseball team for Class 3A and below.“Josh Lim is one of the hardest workers we have and a great ambassador for our school. His effort, character and team first attitude made it easy for the upperclassmen to immediately accept him," said Dunham head baseball coach Wes Theriot. "To be voted first team All-Metro as a freshman by other coaches in our region is a tremendous honor for Josh, his family and our program. We look forward to three more years with him."
Lady Tiger outfielder Laine Sullivan '22, was named to the 2022 All-Metro Softball team (Class 3A and Below). Laine will be chasing her softball dreams at the next level this fall at Baton Rouge Community College.
Tiger golfers Brooks Thornton '23 and Carson Covington '23 were named to the 2022 All-Metro Boys Golf Squad (Small Schools). "Brooks and Carson put in the hard work and practice all year. They are deserving of the All Metro title, and I’m so proud of them. Both of these guys led by example and were the heart and soul of our team," said Dunham golf coach Charlie Turner, who is looking forward to a fantastic senior season for these two golfers.
Distance runner Riley Ries ‘23 was named to the 2022 All-Metro Girls Outdoor Track team for the 3200m with her best time of 11:31.90.
