The Dunham School looked like a prohibitive favorite going into its first-round Division III playoff game Friday night. The Tigers lived up to the advance billing with a 55-6 drubbing of Pope John II of Slidell.
The No. 4 seeded Tigers hadn’t lost in the regular season since a 42-28 setback to Class 5A Central on Sept. 1. The visiting Jaguars were coming off 2-8 regular season.
The apparent mismatch had concerned Dunham coach Neil Weiner.
