Joshua Harris '22 Named National Merit Scholar

The Dunham School is pleased to announce that the National Merit Scholarship Corporation has named senior Joshua Harris as a 2022 National Merit Scholar. Joshua is one of approximately 7,500 high school graduates who will receive National Merit Scholarships for college undergraduate study.

Named salutatorian for the Class of 2022, Joshua ended his high school academic career with a 4.46 cumulative grade point average. In addition, he was recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction and scored a remarkable 35 on theACT. Joshua plans to enroll in the Honors College at Louisiana State University where he intends to pursue a double major in math and computer science.

Joshua is the sixth Dunham graduate to be named a National Merit Scholar in recent years, following in the footsteps of alumni Gaby Walker ’17, Alyssa Sharbaugh ’18, Parker Harris ’19, Luke Russell ’19, and Ciara Venable ’21.

Additional members of the Class of 2022 to receive National Merit recognition include Devyani Vij, who was named a Finalist, and Maddie Benton, Sydney Boudreaux, Connor Eagleton, and Patrick Murphy, who were designated as Commended Students.
