Dunham Recognized As Apple Distinguished School For Sixth Time

November 13, 2017

We are thrilled to announce that The Dunham School has been named an Apple Distinguished School for the sixth time!

Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence that inspire creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking and have documented results of academic accomplishment. For Apple to continually recognize Dunham as a technology leader is an extreme honor and is truly a testament to the hard work, dedication, and expertise of our technology team and our teachers, who have all completed the collaborative Apple Teacher Program.

Since the launch of our 1:1 MacBook program in 2009, Director of Innovation and Technology Nikole Blanchard has worked diligently in partnership with our faculty to create a technology-rich environment that keeps our students inspired, challenged, and engaged in the learning process. Thanks to a curriculum that incorporates iPads, MacBooks, BreakoutEDU Boxes, 3D printers, virtual reality, coding, robotics, and explorations in our Innovation/STEM Labs, we are educating the next generation of innovators, problem solvers, and game changers.

As an Apple Distinguished School, we will continue to host technology showcases on our campus and provide other professional development opportunities for area educators eager to discover more about how we use cutting-edge technology and next generation software to provide our students with the future-ready skills so critical for success in college and career.

Apple Vice President of Education John Couch attended our home football game on Friday November 10, 2017, to personally present the latest Apple Distinguished Award to Head of School Steve Eagleton, Director of Innovation and Technology Nikole Blanchard, faculty, students, and parents.

We can't wait to welcome you!
