The Dunham School spent all of Thursday’s Division III state select quarterfinal playoff game trying to catch St. Katharine Drexel.
When the Lady Tigers finally did, tying the game at 31-all with just under a minute remaining, the Lady Yellow Jackets pulled away for good.
“We were a possession away from going to the Final Four,” said Dunham coach Chad Myers, who was led by Kelsey Day’s 9 points. “We were trying to get a stop. I thought we were going to draw a charge and they made a good play. It’s heartbreaking.”
