Dunham Cup Golf Classic Raises $7,500 for Alumni Association

November 9, 2017

Dunham parent Blake Whittle and golf partner Drew Alleman captured the now-coveted Dunham Cup as winners of the annual Dunham Cup Golf Classic, co-hosted by the Alumni Association and Pawbackers at the Santa Maria Golf Course earlier this fall.

Tournament organizer Matt DeVille and Alumni Liaison Allyson Jones Hingle ‘91 presented Whittle and Alleman with the trophy at the Dunham Homecoming game.

Thirty one two-man teams battled the newly re-structured golf tournament. With a score of 16 under par, the winning team’s names will be etched onto the new Dunham Cup, generously provided by Jostens of Baton Rouge, on display in the lobby of the Head of School’s office for the next year.

“The Dunham Cup is a great event for the school. It gives us the opportunity to connect Dunham alumni with the school’s current parents and grandparents. It is wonderful to see those alumni realize the legacy that they left behind for future generations,”  says Kelly DeRossette, Director of Annual Giving and Constituent Relations.

Thanks to Dunham Cup Golf Classic title sponsors: Tiger sponsor Robinson Brothers; Cardinal sponsor Dantin-Bruce Development; and Silver sponsors Melancon/Rimes, Therapeutic Peptides, Acadian Home Theater and Olivier Group.  Hole and Team sponsors included Neighbors Credit Union, Peters Wealth Management, Clarity Hospice, Yvette Bergeron and Donnie Jarreau.  Additional support was provided by Jostens, Kallurah Street Grill, Mattress Direct and Practical Promotions.

The tournament raised more than $7,500 for the Alumni Association.
