Dunham Aqua Tiger Patrick Murphy ’22 is making a big splash in and out of the pool.
The senior swimmer has been named to the 2021 USA Swimming Scholastic All-America team, joining 1,238 high school swimmers across the country who earned this recognition. Murphy qualified for Scholastic All-American honors by maintaining a minimum 3.5 grade-point average and swimming a time that met or exceeded the 2019 Winter Junior qualifying time between September 1, 2020 and August 31, 2021.
Murphy, who led a small but feisty Tiger swim team to a fourth place finish in the 2020 LHSAA Division IV State Swim Meet, is the current Division IV state titleholder in the 100m breaststroke and the 200m individual medley. In addition, the senior swimmer has also been recognized as a 2021 National Merit Commended Student and a 2021 Advanced Placement Scholar. Congratulations, Patrick!
