7th Grader Hannah Grace Erikson Takes Second Overall in Student Art Show

October 30, 2017

Congratulations to 7th grader Hannah Grace Erikson, who placed second overall in the Middle School division of the annual Kiwanis Pancake Festival Student Art Contest and received an award of $100.00.

Hannah was not the only talented Tiger artist who gained recognition for their work in the student art show. Receiving Honorable Mention for their submitted artwork were: Middle School—Avery Fautheree (7), Samantha Donadieu (7) and Lila Grace Badeaux (6); Upper School—Catherine Enos '19, Arrington Holmes '19, Victoria Saffell '20, Caroline Bardwell '20, and Ireland Coates '19.

The Student Art Contest, sponsored by the Downtown Kiwanis Club of Baton Rouge, takes place alongside the club's  annual Pancake Festival fundraiser to help the youth of our community as well as our less-fortunate citizens who contend with problems such as disability, homelessness, and illiteracy. In recent years, the Downtown Kiwanis Pancake Festival has raised approximately $50,000 annually for the community through this one-day event.

We can't wait to welcome you!
