Valedictorian and Salutatorian Honored At 2021 Commencement Ceremony

Congratulations to our 2021 Valedictorian Rhett Greer and 2021 Salutatorian Raveena Vij. The top two ranking students in the senior class shared parting thoughts with their classmates, faculty, family, and friends during Dunham’s Commencement Ceremony held Saturday, May 22 at Healing Place Church. 

Valedictorian Rhett Greer has attended Dunham since the 10th grade. He completed his high school academic career with a 4.5 cumulative grade point average, earning recognition as an AP Scholar with Distinction and a National Merit Commended Scholar. To that end, Rhett has completed 14 Advanced Placement courses, 15 Honors level courses, and also scored an outstanding 35 on the ACT college entrance exam. 

During his career at Dunham, Rhett served as Junior Class president and Head Prefect during his senior year. He was a varsity letterman on two State Championship basketball teams, and participated in several Dunham theatre productions with lead roles. He has been active in community service through his church and the school. 

Rhett has received scholarship offers totaling $300,000. In the fall, he will enter the highly selective Glynn Family Honors Program at the University of Notre Dame with plans to pursue a major in Pre-Health with a minor in Compassionate Care in Medicine. 

Salutatorian Raveena Vij has been a student at The Dunham School for 14 years. She completed her high school academic career with a 4.43 cumulative grade point average, and has been recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction and a National Merit Commended Scholar. During the course of her high school career, she completed 9 Advanced Placement classes, 15 Honors level classes, and scored a remarkable 35 on the ACT college entrance exam.

During her senior year, Raveena served as the Connections Prefect and the captain of the Varsity Cheerleading Squad. Her other high school activities included participation in Kiwanis Key Club, Beta Club, Athletes and Fellowship of Christian Athletes as well dance and theatre productions. Raveena also has been active in community service, including participation with the Symphony League, and relief projects following the 2016 Baton Rouge flood and 2021 Hurricane Laura.

Raveena has received scholarship offers totaling $218,000. She will attend Stony Brook University in the fall to pursue a degree in Chemistry.
