Congratulations to senior James Baldwin who claimed the LHSAA Division III State Championship for the 220 lb. weight class on Saturday, February 11, 2023.

James, who was the 2022 state runner-up, has had an outstanding senior season. In January, he took first place in the prestigious Ken Cole Classic in Lafayette, La., and then went on to claim the Baton Rouge City Championship title at the end of the month.

James is the fourth state wrestling champion in school history, joining alumni Kirk Wilson ’15, Mason Rabel ’17, and Grant Rabel ’19.
