Hilary Morris Named Girls Basketball Head Coach

April 27, 2021

The Dunham School is pleased to announce that Hilary Morris has been named head coach for girls basketball. Since joining us in 2019, Coach Morris has served as assistant coach for the varsity girls basketball team, head swim coach, and assistant track and field coach. As P.E. department chair, she has had a tremendous effect on our athletic program by sparking a passion for sports in our middle school girls.

Prior to her time at Dunham, Coach Morris was assistant varsity girls basketball coach at Denham Springs High School, helping lead the team to a Class 5A state runner-up finish. She also served as head junior varsity basketball coach and head girls track and field coach at Denham Springs as well as head girls basketball coach and head track and field coach at Southside Junior High (Denham Springs). In addition, Coach Morris started and built the girls basketball program at D’Arbonne Woods Charter School (Farmerville, La.), serving as the head varsity, junior varsity, and junior high girls basketball coach.

An accomplished all-conference athlete in her own right, Coach Morris played basketball for Whitman College (NCAA Division III), where she served as team captain for two seasons.  During her collegiate career, she led her team in scoring in her junior and senior seasons and led the team and conference in 3-point field goals made during her senior season. She received the Lee Coleman Award as most outstanding senior female performer and was named to the First-Team All-Northwest Conference in 2009 and 2010.

Please join us in congratulating Coach Morris and praying for her success in this new role. We are excited to see her lead our girls basketball program and continue to help make an eternal impact in the lives of our students.

We can't wait to welcome you!
