Jordyn Minor '23

The Dunham School is pleased to announce that Jordyn Minor ’23 has been named as the first recipient of the Warren J. Wilson Greater Baton Rouge State Fair Scholarship. The school will award this scholarship annually to an Upper School student who demonstrates excellence in scholarship, leadership, and community service.  The scholarship is made possible by the Warren J. Wilson Greater Baton Rouge State Fair Scholarship Fund, established in honor of Mr. Wilson’s 40 years of service to the state fair.

Jordyn exemplifies all of the characteristics that the scholarship was created to encourage and support. The rising senior is an accomplished scholar, carrying a 4.08 grade point average and excelling in her honors courses. She has been selected to serve as the Connections Prefect during the 2022-2023 school year. A cancer survivor who battled acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age nine, Jordyn exhibits the same strength of character and determination as a fierce competitor on the Dunham track and field team.  After making the switch from gymnastics to track and field during the 2021-2022 school year, she claimed the 2022 2A state championship title in the 100-meter dash in her first-ever state meet.

Congratulations to Jordyn on this well-deserved award.

We can't wait to welcome you!
