Wes Theriot Named Head Baseball Coach

November 11, 2020

The Dunham School is excited to announce that Wes Theriot has been named head coach of the Dunham baseball program. Coach Theriot has taught physical education and served as an assistant coach at Dunham since December of 2019.

Coach Theriot holds a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. Prior to joining Dunham, he served as athletic director, upper school administrator, head baseball coach, and assistant football coach at Central Private School. From 2007-2011, he covered the southeast territory for Beverly Hills Sports Council, one of the largest sports management companies in the U.S. He later served as business manager at Toxicological and Environmental Associates, Inc., for seven years before following his calling to teach and coach.

“Wes Theriot has long been held in the highest esteem among the baseball community,” says Dunham Director of Athletics Neil Weiner. “He has worked with major league baseball draft picks, the USA Baseball National Team, and, in his first year as a prep baseball head coach, led his team to the state finals.  As we went through the process of evaluating candidates from across the nation, Coach Theriot stood out as being organized, character-driven, and had a great vision for Dunham’s baseball program.”

“We have an outstanding baseball tradition at Dunham, and I am excited and honored to be chosen to lead the program,” says Coach Theriot.
