Dr. Katherine Hughes, K12 Development Excecutive, visited The Dunham School today.  Dr. Hughes presented Bobby Welch with an Apple Distinguished School award sharing that Dunham is one of approximately 46 schools in the nation to receive this award for the second time.  There are only 130 schools nationwide that have been given the honor of being named an Apple Distinguished Schools.

Who is Dr. Katherine Hughes?  She is an educator at heart.   Being in public education for 18 years, Dr. Hughes served as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, classroom teacher, guidance counselor, alternative education principal, and middle school principal.  A major focus and area of research for Dr. Hughes has been on technology integration in K-12 classrooms across all content areas.  She also holds a board seat on the College of Education and Professional Studies Advocacy Council at the  University of Central Oklahoma.
