 Head Coach: Mitch McIIwain
Mitch McIIwain is in his 9th year at The Dunham School. He
holds a BS from Louisiana Tech and a Masters in Education
from LSU. He played baseball at Louisiana Tech from 1994-98.
In 2005 he was selected as the Class 1A State Baseball Coach
of the Year by both the LHSAA and the LAHSBCA. Mitch
teaches American History . His wife Amanda is also a member
of the Dunham Faculty. Mitch and Amanda have 2 daughters,
Claire and Anna Elizabeth.
 Assistant Coach: Mike Jenkins
Assistant Coach Mike Jenkins is in his 19th year at Dunham. His
primary responsibility will by guiding the pitching staff and
coaching the outfielders. As an assistant for former baseball coach
Joey Thibodeaux, he helped the Tigers to five District
Championships and two State Tournament appearances in the
1990’s. Mike has coached collegiately at Sam Houston State and
LSU, where he was an assistant on the Tiger’s first College World
Series team in 1986. He also served as the Head Coach for
Athletics in Action’s 1986 Central Europe team which posted at
17-0 record against international competition. Mike and his wife
Sharon have been married for 33 years. They have two sons, Calip
(’05), a senior at Nicholls State University, and Wally (’09), a freshman at LSU.
