Boys Head Coach: Jonathan Pixley JonathanPixley is entering his ninth year as Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at The Dunham School. Last year his team set a school record with 33 wins and the team made the State Quarterfinals. Coach Pixley graduated from Catholic High (BatonRouge) in 1992 where he was an All-State performer on the court. He continued his playing career at Samford University, playing for Coach John Brady (later LSU head coach). At Samford, Pixley was selected All-Conference for three years and was an NABC Division I All-American his senior season. He ended his collegiate career as the Trans-America Athletic conference all-time leader in 3-pointers made; he was sixth on the all-time scoring list.
After graduating from Samford with a degree in business, he played in the FILA NBA Summer League before a knee injury ended his playing career. Six of Coach Pixley’s eight Dunham teams have made the playoffs. He captured his 100th career win at Dunham during the 2007-2008 season.
Coach Pixley also runs the Red Storm AAU basketball program. His 17 AAU teams have finished in the top 4 in Louisiana and qualified for the National Championships in Orland, FL for 3 consecutive years. He is married to Donna Pixley (Head Volleyball Coach). The Pixleys have two daughters, Hannah and Caylin.
Assistant Boys Coach: Chad Myers Chad Myers has served as Assistant Boys basketball coach for the past six years. In addition to his assistant coaching duties with the boys basketball team, Chad Myers also begins his 4th year as Head Girls Basketball coach for The Dunham School. In 2007, he guided his first Lady Tigers team to the state semifinals and an appearance in Hammond in the Top 28. It was the deepest any Dunham Girls Basketball team has ever gone in the tournament. In Myers' first two seasons as Girls Head coach, his teams have made the playoffs. Coach Myers graduated from Dunham in 1997 and earned his degree from LSU in 2005. Myers was an All-District basketball player during his Dunham career. He previously served as Head Swimming Coach at Dunham from 1999-2002. In 2002, he was the Head Swim Coach at Parkview Baptist, where his team was the state runner-up. Myers is also in his 3rd year as Head Tennis Coach at the school. Myers is the oldest of six children, all of who have graduated or will graduate from Dunham. He is married to Bekah Myers (Head Swim Coach). They recently had their first child, Charlie, and are expecting their 2nd child in March 2010.
