Dunham Students Compete In District Literary Rally

Forty-nine Dunham students in grades 8-12 head to Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond on February 24, 2018 to compete in the District III Literary Rally.

There are 22 possible subject areas on which students are tested at various levels: English, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, Physics, Computer Science, French, Spanish, World History, American History, Spelling and Art.

Each teacher nominates two students from his or her classes to participate. On the day of the rally, students then complete a one-hour exam in that subject. First place winners will advance to the State Literary Rally at LSU on April 21, 2018.

District III includes 16 schools, public and private, from Baton Rouge east to Slidell along the 1-12 corridor.
